Our Team
Lauren Moriarty, LCSW
I’m a therapist, yes—but first and foremost, I’m someone who knows what it’s like to wrestle with inner turmoil. From a young age, I felt the weight of unspoken expectations and battled the pull of anxiety, stress, and self-doubt. I was on a quest to find meaning in my own life. In my search for relief, I turned outward, trying to soothe my chaos in ways that only deepened it. It wasn’t until I began looking inward—learning to believe in my own strength—that I found the beginnings of peace and purpose.
Over time, I pieced together practices that transformed my life: journaling, yoga, time in nature, meditation, and mindfulness. I committed to becoming the person I needed during my most challenging times. Today, I am proud to offer that support to others. I walk beside my clients, and strive to create a safe, authentic, non-judgmental space for them to reconnect with themselves and grow into their fullest potential.
So….. who I am? I am a very colorful, creative, and energetic therapist. My clients may find me in a big vintage band t-shirt one day, a blazer the next, and goggle marks on my face the following day when I come to session right after a sunrise snowboarding mission.
Clients can expect a very human experience with laughter when they arrive in my office.
Im an untamed therapist full of love making my way through modern society.

Clare Bailey Swank, CSW
Clare is an emotion focused and mindfulness based therapist who is passionate about self-empowerment and efficacy, cognitive reframing and DBT. Clare received her Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California and her Bachelor of Science Degree in Health, Policy, and Society from the University of Utah.
Truthfully, Clare knew she wanted to become a therapist at the age of 8. There were some diversions along the way, but Clare has worked tirelessly over the years to achieve her dreams, becoming your therapist! Throughout her adolescence and into young adulthood, Clare struggled with body image and self-worth issues and found herself wearing the mask of someone who “had it all together” but was screaming inside, turning to alcohol to cope, and resenting who she had become.
Through years of self-exploration and healing via intensive inpatient and outpatient therapy, discipline and deep connection with the outdoors and her community (and a few different careers along the way), Clare gained her own self-worth and empowerment that she now shares with her clients. Her mission as a therapist is to provide a healing space for her client’s to break free from internal and external barriers that are keeping them from experiencing life in its most joyous form.
Prior to becoming a part of the team at Wise Sage, Clare worked in a trauma informed environment at a residential substance abuse treatment center from 2022 to 2024, first as a clinical intern and then as a clinical social worker. Beyond connecting with individual clients, she has experience in leading group psychotherapy and experiential therapy sessions, family psychotherapy, and couples psychotherapy. She enjoys working with clients who struggle with attachment and childhood trauma, internal emotional turmoil and finding purpose, self exploration and identity seeking, substance abuse, emotional regulation and reactivity, those struggling with religious trauma and couples who want to deepen or restore a loss of connection.
When Clare is not focused on expanding her breadth of knowledge and integrating healing therapy practices to further client growth, she can be found spending quality time with her husband and two fur babies Lady and Frankie. She actively seeks new adventures by both exploring in the mountains and experiencing downtown Salt Lake whenever possible. Clare loves pilates, photography, reading fiction and the arts.
